As the dust settles on our wedding weekend, Kate and I want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to the entire team at Tankardstown House for making our day so incredibly special. From the moment we stepped foot on the grounds back in July 2023, we knew Tankardstown was the place for us. The charm, the elegance, and the warmth of the venue captured our hearts instantly. What unfolded this past weekend exceeded every dream we had. The flow, the feeling, and the flawless execution of the day were beyond anything we could have hoped for. A few special shoutouts are in order: Sarah-Jane – You’ve been a rock of support to us over the past two years. Your calm presence, clear communication, and ability to make everything run so smoothly on the day itself were truly appreciated. Your interactions with our guests were warm and genuine, and your attention to the little details helped make everything feel effortless. You're brilliant at what you do – thank you so much. Gemma – We feel so lucky to have had you as our wedding coordinator. Every single detail from our wedding operations sheet (which we edited far too many times!) was noted and nailed. From day one, you’ve been an absolute pleasure to deal with – patient, kind, and professional. Thank you for everything you did to help bring our vision to life. Fran – What can we say? You are truly the best in the business. You brought not just skill and professionalism, but heart. You felt like an extension of the family on the day – sharing laughs, spreading warmth, and showing such genuine care. One moment stands out in particular: when you deliberately carved out 30 minutes for just the two of us before the meal. It was a moment of calm and reflection we didn’t know we needed, but will never forget. Your eye for detail and ability to read the room is exceptional – we were so lucky to have you with us. To every single member of staff – the chefs, wait staff, bar staff, cleaners, porters, reception team – thank you. The level of service was truly world-class. Our parents (veterans of close to 100 weddings!) and so many of our guests said it was the best service they had ever seen at a wedding. We wholeheartedly agree. You all showed up with such professionalism, warmth, and grace – we are deeply grateful. And finally, to the many others who played a part in the lead-up and on the day (special mentions to Áine and Tadhg), thank you – we see you and appreciate you all. We are so honoured to have celebrated our wedding at Tankardstown. We cannot wait to return as guests again – whether for another wedding or a peaceful weekend stay. It was the most perfect day, and you all had such a huge role in making it so.

As a wedding photographer, there is no venue in Ireland more picturesque to photograph in than Tankardstown. Even on a wet day, the portraits made possible by the exquisite light in the orangery is always beautiful. Tadhg, Fran, Des and the rest of the team are always so welcoming, and efficient on the day. We have been supplying Tankardstown House with wedding flowers for over 10 years now and have watched them grow from a small boutique wedding venue to one of the best wedding venues in Ireland. What makes them special for us as just a supplier (and not a guest) is the way we are treated by all the staff, always friendly, happy and helpful. This is not common in most venues.
