Talented designer Elizabeth Bessant creates original outfits as individual as each client. She moved into couture 20 years ago following a successful art career exhibiting at the Royal Academy and showcasing her work around the world. Her instinctive eye for colour and detail – plus her insistence on perfection - has led to a loyal following of celebrity and society clients. Elizabeth is involved in the couture design process from initial consultation to collection and will attend all your fittings. Each exquisite outfit - whether a wedding dress, mother of bride outfit, business suit or accessory - is designed and made in her London studio by her team of skilled crafts people. Elizabeth offers a free no obligation consultation to get to know you and your event and guide you through the process of getting the perfect look. There are samples to try on and fabrics to look at and if nothing catches your eye Elizabeth will source fabric specially for you. Each client has a personal pattern made to her measurements and a toile fitting (practice outfit in calico) at this fitting the garment can be altered and fine tuned before being cut in the actual fabric. Two to three further fittings will be required and more for complicated designs and wedding gowns. All garments are hand finished and hand beading is Elizabeth's speciality. Family and friends are welcome to attend consultations and fittings and will be looked after with drinks.
