Story of my Dress

I created Story Of My Dress to offer brides a something a little different; something very unique; a one of a kind dress that is stylish, but still affordable. Having searched for my best friend's wedding dress around Kent 5 years ago, I decided that there wasn't anything on offer locally for brides who wanted to incorporate their own unique style into their bridal look without breaking the bank! Using contacts from my experience working within the fashion industry, I started to build SOMD. Collecting original vintage pieces and with the help of Gillian, our in house seamstress, we can transform these beautiful dresses by either restoring them to their original glory or re-designing them to create a modern and stylish gown! ​ Our newly launched own collection of dresses and bridal separates sit alongside and compliment our vintage. The dresses are contemporary and on trend with vintage elements using details we love from our originals. We also now stock a selection of Rolling in Roses dresses, designed by Hayley who is also a passionate purveyor of original vintage. Her dresses blend beautifully with our own, offering pure silk luxury and inspired designs. Our accessories collection are also amazing and offer something for the boho babe or elegant chick! All of our collections are priced from £99-£1500 and can be altered and tailor made to fit all sizes. Our beautiful little showroom is in The Mill Yard, West Malling, Kent. We offer a one on one, super relaxed experience. We are open all week and can offer evening appointments to try and accommodate our brides & their girl gang.
