Blue Topaz provides a unique and memorable musical experience for your wedding. Our feature groups, the Blue Topaz String Trio and Quintet, are brilliantly versatile by inclusion of the double bass and slap bass technique. Elegant and sophisticated we are available to perform on both traditional and electric instruments. We can be booked to play during your wedding ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast or even a special performance for your guests. We also have our own sound system and string specialist sound engineer enabling us to amplify our music to the desired level for any party or room size. Trained at London’s finest music conservatories including the Royal Academy of Music, we fuse classical instruments with pop and jazz styles. Blue Topaz performs music from a diverse and extensive bespoke repertoire ranging from Bach to the Black Eyed Peas. We arrange all repertoire ourselves creating original versions of well known music. This also means we can arrange any piece on request no matter how unusual! The ladies of Blue Topaz have performed worldwide with artists including Adele, Beyonce, Stormzy, Paloma Faith, Simply Red, Lana Del Rey, Rod Stewart, Take That, Emelie Sande, Ne-Yo, Pavarotti and Nigel Kennedy and on TV shows including The Brit Awards, Graham Norton, Live from Abbey Road, Children In Need and Jonathan Ross. Clients have included Her Majesty The Queen, The Jamie Oliver Foundation, Microsoft, the Football Association and The Duchess of Cambridge at venues such as the legendary jazz club Ronnie Scotts, Wembley Stadium, The National Theatre, Kensington Palace and for some of London’s finest hotels including Claridge’s, The Dorchester, the Mandarin Oriental and The Grosvenor House.
