Being a documentary photographer means I photograph weddings in unobtrusive and observational way. I slip into the background and create images of the bride and groom being themselves with all their friends and family. By the end of the day, all the images come together to create a visual story of how the day has unfolded for people to refer back to in years to come.
I prefer this style of photography, as I think people's real character and personality come out a lot more than standing in front of a camera and posing. Of course weddings are an ideal time to get pictures with friends and family, so I factor these into most weddings as well.
However for most of the day, you probably won't even relise I'm around and you can just get on with enjoying the day!
