Since I was a little girl I always dreamed about having a ‘Lytham Wedding’, never really thinking that one day this dream would become a reality. Christian Allen and his beautiful wife Rhona went out of their way to ensure that our wedding photographs captured the sentiment surrounding this treasured place perfectly. Not only did they travel 80 miles to our home town of Stoke on Trent on the morning of the wedding, they also transported our wedding flowers which was very kind of them to suggest doing. After the ceremony we all headed to Lytham for the photographs (& reception) which was guided by Rhona, who ensured that everything went smoothly throughout the day. For us, we were instantly drawn to them by their friendly and relaxed approach. Understanding the importance of Lytham and the memories attached to certain places Christian and Rhona, following the wedding breakfast at The Grand Hotel, drove us to the band stand and St. Annes Pier – this added a very personal touch for us and it showed that they were willing to go out of their way to ensure that we were happy and that we captured the day perfectly. Christian worked so hard for us; providing an engagement shoot, pre wedding meetings, not to mention the actual wedding day and then the editing and constructing of the album. Our wedding album is absolutely fantastic and this is with great thanks to Christian’s creativity and talent. Thank you Christian and Rhona for providing a fantastic service!

I knew Christian was the photographer for us after our first meeting. I’m not particularly creative and unlike most brides, I didn’t have a ‘vision’ for our day – Christian immediately reassured me that he had ideas covered. He even came along to the wedding rehearsal to meet the vicar out of courtesy. On the day itself, Christian and his wife, Rhona, made a fantastic team. Exceptionally friendly and relaxed while being unobtrusive and absolutely professional and focussed. They even managed to convince a pair of swans to perform for the camera! It was a joy to have them share our wedding with us. The final album is wonderful; the pictures are exceptionally high quality – bringing out every detail and truly capturing the spirit of the day. Every time we look at them we notice something else; the look in a friend’s eyes or the way the light colours the sky. Christian and Rhona provided us with wonderful service from beginning to end and an album we will treasure forever.

There are so many decisions to be made when it comes to organising a wedding but for us, choosing a photographer was the easiest decision we had to make. It’s clear to see that photography is not just a job for Christian but also a passion. At times we didn’t know who was more excited; him or us! Together with his wife, Rhona, Christian has captured our day with such precision and finesse that every time we look at our album we notice something new. His professionalism, enthusiasm and creativity never faltered even when it came to wading through soggy, knee high grass in pursuit of the perfect photo.
