I take a largely photo-journalistic approach to my photography, as I stand back and observe, allowing your day to unfold with minimal interruption, and giving me the chance to pursue the extraordinary in the seemingly ordinary. I believe there is beauty to be captured in even the mundane, from the moments you never thought could mean something, and I seek to find it.
My clients tend to quickly become my best friends after just one meeting, which makes blending in with the boys & giggling with the girls that bit easier. It means I'm not afraid to get stuck in to the madness & chaos of the day, and when hilarity ensues, I'll be there to catch it unfold. Whether it be embarrassing Dad dance moves after too many pints, or being chased in a field of cows, I've been there and got the photo to prove it.
As well as documenting all of this rawness, I also like to get creative, and with creativity comes a bit of direction and planning ahead. It's not all about the unpredictability. I’ll seek out a pool of light or a striking archway on the day and use these to create breathtaking portraits of you and your other half.
Incorporating both of these approaches gives you a collection of finished images that are a perfect blend of both those fleeting moments of teary eyes and rawkus laughter, as well as bad ass, frame-able fine art photography worth sticking on a thank-you card.
