Super cool

Our wedding was booked for Saturday 21st March 2020. On the evening before, due to the Coronavirus all venues were told to shut. My now wife was staying there with family and friends. As you can imagine she was devastated. Wedding reception and evening party cancelled, and all rooms booked also. What to do! The hotel staff were so apologetic, even knowing it was not there doing. The register then advise they would still perform the ceremony, but only with 10 quests, not the 80 booked. When knowing this the Berwick staff. Did their upmost to arrange the ceremony room, and set the cake in the restaurant. The photographer attended and we were able to get some lovely photos. If only with the small group. Before the hotel shut. After becoming husband and wife and preparing to leave. The hotel brought out a number of main meals to take away and also the desserts in travel boxes. This enabled us to have a reception at home and some sort of day. A fantastic gesture. And the food was lovely. The following week a refund was agreed and deposited in our bank. All the way through the planning of the wedding to the actual day. Simone, Jo and all the staff have been tremendous. All I can say is thank you again.

We stayed at Berwick lodge for a wedding, what an amazing experience, beautiful place our room was truly amazing, food was excellent and staff was extremely polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend Berwick Lodge you won’t be disappointed.

My new wife and I booked Berwick Lodge for our August Bank holiday wedding. With only 8 weeks to prepare - it went swimmingly. Exclusive use from Saturday 25th right through to Bank Holiday Monday. What can I say.... Simone (Event Organiser) and the whole Berwick Lodge team did an absolutely amazing job for us this weekend. The venue, the organisation, the team, the styling, the weather... we could do on... nothing could have been more perfect! Everyone who was involved from the front of house team to everyone behind the scenes, chefs, cleaners, gardeners etc couldn't have done anything more for us. Our families described it as classy, relaxed & having a feeling of it being your own home. What more could we ask for... nothing! Rooms - exceptionally stylish. We were in Lydia. What an amazing room. Breakfasts - whatever you wanted turned up perfectly Pre-Wedding day BBQ - the Sausages were very tasty, as was everything else provided, but I LOVED the sausages Wedding Breakfast meal - OMG - so much food, from the smoked duck starter, braised lamb main to the chocolate fondant... complements to the chef and kitchen staff The venue: you just have to book it. Having exclusive access for the whole weekend made it even more special. One final call our to the waiting staff and reception. How attentive, friendly and super helpful they were. Berwick Lodge, you did yourselves proud and you completely exceeded our expectations.

On behalf of my husband and I, I would like to say thank you so much for helping us organise our special day. We cannot express our gratitude enough. It could not have been more perfect and ran exactly how we had planned. It was such a beautiful venue and the staff were amazing and so attentive. I cannot believe how calm I was and that was largely down to the atmosphere that you create. You really understood our vision and managed to perfectly bring our ideas to life on the day.
