Blencowe Hall

After Blencowe Hall became authorised as a civil wedding venue, we have started offering wedding breaks at Blencowe Hall but do not advertise this on a wide basis and we do not have a standard brochure, nor are we really sure that we would like to have such a thing, as we do not see ourselves as offering a set of standard wedding packages. We do not anticipate becoming a major commercial wedding venue preferring instead to remain more personal and smaller scale in terms of numbers of weddings. We offer wedding weekends with a minimum of a three night stay at our properties and do not offer single night bookings. Blencowe Hall has 12 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms (two rooms share a family bathroom on the Central Range hall) which means it accommodates up to 24 guests. It might be useful to know that at Blencowe Hall there are two ground floor bedrooms in the North Tower, one of which has a walk in wet room shower which we have found is really helpful for our guests with limited mobility or young children. The South Tower Dining Room, the Breakfasting Kitchen, Utility Room, Butler's Pantry, Snug, oak panelled Entrance Hall and the Billiards Room are all on the ground floor. Our bedrooms are also set out in pairs in the North Tower and Central Range so that parents travelling with young children may easily have them in a room nearby.   Blencowe Hall is Grade I listed and the restoration programme has brought the two derelict castellated towers back into use for the first time in 300 years. Our website includes floor plans etc and three of the twin bedded rooms can either be configured as twins or as 5 or 6 foot beds depending on your preference.  Blencowe Hall is 5* rated by Quality in Tourism, part of Visit England, and has also won a Gold Award for exceptional quality in all areas, in particular with respect to service and hospitality. We also participate in their affinity programmes and Blencowe Hall has been certified as a "Families/Pets Welcome".
