Canonbury

We held our wedding reception at the Canonbury Tavern in December 2019 and couldn’t have chosen a better venue. From start to finish the team were very friendly, helpful and obviously knew their stuff. On the day although we provided the decorations, the team made the restaurant look magical, the food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Thank you to Sandra, Martin and the team but particular thanks to Justine who looked after us as if we were her own family. She was very professional, extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this venue to anyone. Thank you again for making our special day so relaxed and enjoyable.

We held our wedding breakfast here in Dec 2019 and cannot express how happy we were with everything. Sandra and her team were so professional, warm and organised. They completely relaxed us throughout the whole process and were so accommodating to what we wanted. They help you decorate the space and helped us so much. The food was also super - and they sorted mulled wine and everything! We are so thankful we came to the Canonbury, it meant for a lot less stress. We had so many compliments for our choice of venue and I can’t recommend it enough.

With only a few weeks notice, I organised a small wedding lunch in the blue room. I could tell the team has a lot of experience in organising weddings and other private events, which made me feel more relaxed to know it was all in safe hands! The day before I dropped off a few things and how Sandra (and I forgot the other girls name but she was also excellent) consequently transferred the Blue Room into a stylish and elegant place was amazing. In the blue room they also allow people to plug in their phones for music which was great! And the small lunch actually spontaneously became a small party:) I had a perfect day and so much more than expected so thank you!

The day turned out perfectly due to attentive staff, delicious food, chilled atmosphere, and some luck with the weather. Planning the event was fun and stress-free!
