Cumbria's best kept secret!!

My sister got married at this venue in December 2019, a Christmas wedding. It was truly the most perfect day from the moment we arrived until the team waved us goodbye the next day. The planning, the food, the decor, everything just went perfectly. The twinkling fairy lights in the conservatory & candle lit dinner was magical. Thank you to the team for everything, we have arranged a family party next Christmas!! xxx

Wedding made easy

Finally arrived back home after 4 days at The Crown where we had our wedding reception. After a last minute disaster with the last venue, The Crown was recommended to us by our photographer. Wendy the coordinator and the General Manager Janneman stepped up to the mark in every aspect and were constantly on hand to check arrangements were all running as planned. There was nothing typical about our wedding, totally bespoke for us, and nothing that Wendy couldn't arrange. Every one of the staff for the entire staff were helpful to a fault and courteous from dawn till dusk and way beyond. We are already making arrangements for our anniversary return with our close family. A bespoke evening meal for 20 people, 7 courses of food and drink specifically created for each individual person. For those of you wanting the full weddings package or just the after party, we highly recommend going and seeing whats on offers, and let someone else take on the stress of your special day. To Janneman, once again, from Lucy and I, your staff were a credit to you, please thank them all, and thank you for making our day everything it was supposed to be.

I was invited to a wedding here and thoroughly enjoyed the wedding itself as the staff had everything sorted, they were there but were unobtrusive. The hotel itself is a beautiful venue with everything in one place and a well maintained and pretty garden area which we used for the photos. Hotel room was itself was nice and comfy and breakfast was really nice as well with plenty of options. The staff were also genuinely helpful when asked anything which is unusual these days so I was impressed with the whole place.
