Downham Hall

Downham Hall is a beautiful new venue in Downham, Essex. We are an ideal venue for people who want a boutique, countryside style wedding. The property has been on the site since the 16th Century with the current manifestation believed to have evolved over the last 300 years. We have spent almost three years lovingly renovating the property to the highest of standards and have incorporated 5 luxury en suite bedrooms, several function rooms, a luxurious marquee and stunning grounds available for wedding celebrations, all surrounded by beautiful countryside views. Downham Hall is an exclusive use wedding venue and the perfect setting for a small, intimate wedding in our beautiful De Beauvoir suite, or for a larger wedding held within our stunning marquee in the grounds. We would be delighted to offer our venue as the perfect setting for your special day. We are celebrating our first season of weddings in 2019 and have been very lucky to host lots of fantastic weddings! Although we are now taking bookings well into 2021 and beyond, we do still have a handful of dates available for 2019 and 2020 and have some amazing special offers available! All of the events held at Downham Hall are always very well received and we are lucky to have received lots of wonderful reviews. Many guests comment on the fact that the sheer beauty and peacefulness of the venue and it’s surroundings make you feel as though you are miles from anywhere but really you are only 2 miles from a mainline station into London Liverpool Street!
