Built in 1824 and set in 10 acres of beautiful woodland, East Dene Isle of Wight wedding venue is a tribute to Victorian splendour. The past home of Algernon Swinburne – Poet and Raconteur – it is a treasure trove of history, through its time as the Convent of the Sacred Heart and as a Country Hotel. We will host a memorable reception for you and your guests; up to 50 inside the grade 2 listed mansion house and up to 150 in our marquee following a wedding at the church of your choice. We will work with you to help create the wedding that you always imagined. With private use of the house and grounds you’ll get time to prepare for the big day, help us with any of the tiny details that will make a big difference, or maybe you’ll find time to relax in our hot tub… You’ll also benefit from our advice and contacts.
