Heathfield Estate, New Forest

Where do we start? The entire estate is just amazing and the weekend we spent there was quite possibly the best few days of our lives. We came across Heathfield House when looking for a luxury wedding venue and whilst we couldn't get married at the house itself (something we had originally wanted), our initial visit, before we booked it, completely blew us away, and from the moment we arrived at the electric gates, we just knew we had to celebrate our wedding there. As luck would have it, Highcliffe Castle, some 10-15 minutes away, had 1 ceremony space left on our chosen date (and was a beautiful place to say our vows) so it felt like it was meant to be! We had 35 people attend our wedding weekend (26 adults, 9 children) and we booked out the whole estate with some guests staying in the cottage and coach house. Whilst my Father was a little dubious about our wedding ideas in the beginning, he was ‘sold’ on our chosen venue as soon as he walked through the door and says it was the best wedding he has ever been to (and now knows to trust his daughters good judgement! Haha). We simply hired the house for the weekend and made our own arrangements for catering, entertainment, transport, the ceremony etc, but the Heathield Estate Manager provided details of some local companies they could recommend (which helped as we weren’t familiar with the area) and this suited us as I love to plan and organising events is my passion. The house is pure luxury but not in any way pretentious. It is absolutely immaculate and the bedding, furnishings and all the equipment we used was spotlessly clean. The space is vast but it’s cosy and the house ‘hugs you’ from the moment you enter. We fell in love with it and the memories we have from that weekend, with all our loved ones under 1 roof for those few days, will stay with us forever. The Heathfield Estate is very special to us and whilst you can literally be anywhere on earth as long as you are surrounded by the people you love, it helps when that place is as warm, welcoming, stunning and comfortable as Heathfield House.
