Kings Chapel

My husband and I got married at the kings chapel on 3 June 2018 and had a fantastic day. The chapel is a stunning venue with a beautiful ceremony room. As it was a sunny day we were able to have drinks and nibbles in the garden. The outside areas are so picturesque and great for wedding pictures. Tash was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Big thank you to Tash and team!

The Kings Chapel was actually only the second venue we saw when we started the mammoth task of trying to find the perfect wedding venue. After that all the other venues were always dismissed as ‘not being as good’ and when we received the extremely reasonable worst case scenario pricing the mind was pretty much made up. Our coordinator Tash couldn’t have been anymore helpful if she’d tried. Constantly available despite no doubt having many other weddings to coordinate she helped us slot things in to place so quickly and efficiently it meant when the last minute hiccups did arrive they never became a massive problem because everything was largely taken care of. From last minute changes in attendance numbers to sorting a bespoke starter as we weren’t huge fans of ones on the menus, she along with her demon colleagues made the whole run up smooth, organised and pretty much close to perfect. And what’s not to like? Yes the rooms are sparse decor wise but that then gives you scope to design it yourself! We used venue decorators Ever After to create a perfect scene for us (recommended to us by Kings chapel in the first place) and together they nailed it for us with amazing floral arrangements and a brilliant light canopy going from the balcony to the top of the service area. If you are looking for simplicity this is it. All accommodation is onsite, the venue is licensed for weddings, they repurpose that room for the breakfast and then the reception can be held after in the room next door. No ferrying of guests back and forth! And so long as the rooms above the bar are filled by the guests you can keep the Kings Arms bar open til 2am! Everything you need in one neatly packaged bundle. Oh and the bride and grooms room came free. It was without a doubt the best day of my life, and helped massively by Tash and the team at the Kings Arms and Chapel. We can’t thank them enough for what they did. It was an utter pleasure.

The venue is simply perfect for a small- medium wedding with a separate dance floor/main hall and own private walled garden. Very reasonable price and it's a hidden gem. The events staff were all so super from the very beginning and nothing was ever too much for them. The staff on the day were also fab and attentive.

We got married in April 2018, and right from the very beginning the staff at Kings Chapel were exemplary. They couldn't do enough to help and guide us through planning our wedding day. We had both our reception and actual ceremony at the venue. It was truly beautiful and I couldn't have asked for a better day. Alexis was our wedding coordinater and she did the most amazing job, especially some of the little touches on the day. Like messages written on the mirrors in the toilets and bridal suite. I could go on all day about the staff and venue, if I could marry my husband all over again at this fabulous venue I would!

If you’re thinking of choosing Kings Chapel as your wedding venue, we can’t recommend it highly enough. We got married here in January 2018 and it was the most wonderful day. From the very first moment we spoke to the Kings Chapel team, everybody we dealt with was friendly, helpful, enthusiastic and just genuinely keen to help us have the perfect day. Jade was our coordinator and was just brilliant - always on hand to give advice and so knowledgeable. What’s lovely about the venue is the fact it’s a blank canvas you can decorate to suit your style and the Instagram page is a very useful source of inspiration! Old Amersham is a beautiful place, and the style of buildings make for a really picturesque setting. It even snowed the day after our wedding which made it seem all the more magical. And last but not least, the food was absolutely fantastic!
