Melville Castle

Stayed the night before with the whole family which did turn into a massive drinking sesh and yes i did see the groom the night before of the wedding and technically the morning of the wedding as we didnt get to sleep until 3am. It was a simple day nothing over the top as it was about us. We had all our close friends and families. All the men in matching kilts. The day flew in, which we were warned would happen. Married in the castle then party in the marquee at night. Stayed that night too which i had asked the groom to get a pen as i wanted to open the cards as we wete going to rome the following morning and because he was absolutely blootered he invited most of the wedding guests back to which my surprise when i answered the door as i had took my dress off and all i had on was my knickers. So scampered back into the room dressing gown on sincr it turned into an after party in the room. Limo picked us up early in the morning to take us to the airport.

The staff at Melville couldn't have been more friendly and helpful when we were trying to organise our wedding, and the actual day went perfectly. The venue is beautiful. Absolutely recommend it!

We had our wedding in Melville castle in October. The Whole experience was amazing! Fiona was amazing at keeping us calm and reassuring us throughout all the planning and on the big day until John took over! John was amazing too and kept the whole day running smoothly. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. From the moment myself and my bridesmaids checked in the day before the wedding the staff could not do enough for us, everyone was very happy to help with any request we had. Our suite was beautiful and had lots of space for everyone getting ready. On the wedding day we had use of The ballroom, viscount room and the marquee, which was great as they are all lovely rooms. The food was lovely, and there are so many wonderful spots for photos. Our wedding day at Melville Castle was amazing, and we would definitely reccommed it as a wedding location!

This venue is absolutely stunning. We loved everything about it from the long drive way to the use of all the different rooms in the castle and marque. The food is amazing and staff are very friendly and helpful. Lots of fantastic spots for photographs! We had the best day and couldn’t imagine a better venue to celebrate our special day.

The team at Melville Castle made my wedding day! They were great from start to finish! Genuinely couldn’t have asked for more! Five stars and then some!!!

We honestly can’t thank Fiona and the team at Melville Castle enough, our day was beyond perfect! From the minute we started to plan our day everyone has been so helpful. Our wedding day went extremely smoothly with not one hiccup! Our guests commented on how efficient every step of the day was and how great all the staff were - not to mention the absolutely beautiful venue! We would love to do our day all over again at Melville Castle it was just amazing!
