Escape to this countryside retreat for your celebrations and you can leave the city behind for the night too with space for you and up to 16 guests in the charming on-site accommodation. For your ceremony the Gatehouse is perfect. Dating back to as early as 1380, this historic building is guarded by a romantic rose garden and archway and accessed via a short staircase. A secret antique spiral staircase leading to the licensed ceremony room, which seats 80 guests, promises a bridal entrance no one will forget. With room for up to 100 guests, as well as a live band or DJ, The Barn at Pentney Abbey serves as a great location for your wedding breakfast and reception. Our professional in-house catering team will work with you to create a bespoke menu for you and your guests to enjoy here. There’s a bar here as well and access to a patio that can be used in the summer. For night owls, there’s a fire pit in the courtyard too. There are eight bedrooms in total at Pentney Abbey, accommodating up to 16 of your friends and family who can stay for breakfast in the morning too. The bridal suite will welcome you and your partner after your special day, with a wood burning stove and a sumptuous seating area.
