Pentre Mawr Country House

Here at Pentre Mawr, we do things a little differently. We charge one fee and give you total freedom. So you can bring your own caterer and your own wine with no corkage. We sit in 6 acres of gardens, our stable yard has a fire pit for the evenings and our Secret Walled Garden is ideal for your wedding ceremony. We have two marquees and two super barns to make sure that you have cover on the occasional days it rains in Wales! This year we’ve just build a beautiful white pagoda on the HaHa for totally out door weddings subject to the weather. So you can bring your own caterer and your own wine with no corkage. We’ve got a fantastic Pinterest room with loads of lovely goodies you can use to decorate your marquee. From buntings to bird cages, candelabras to huge martini glasses, lanterns and anything else you can imagine. We also provide a photo wall, so there’s no need to book a photo booth, and we have a fantastic candy cart that you can fill with your favourite sweeties. And the most daft thing of all... a doughnut wall! Our latest purchases are huge LOVE letters and a 5 foot heart so there’s no need to order any of the extras as these are all here for you to use. You two will have a room of your choice for two nights with breakfast. Where possible, we will be happy to offer you a complimentary stay the night after your wedding. (Very occasionally this may not be possible). Many venues close the main house on the wedding day, but we’re always open and it’s your country house for the weekend. As I already said our wedding store is full of all the lovey things you might like to decorate your wedding. In the dance barn the PA system and disco lighting are available to you. So you can choose a DJ, band, or your own playlist if that’s what you’d prefer. We’ll provide buckets of advice and help and most of all mini crises management to whatever level required on the day.
