Our wedding day was such a magical day, thanks to Prested Hall Hotel My wife and I feel like we are only now getting back to normality since getting wed a month ago at Prested Hall. What a crazy journey, but so much fun and our wedding day was such a magical day. Leanne Walsh (Events Manager) and her team deserve all our praise for making our wedding such a wonderful event. Their help and support from when we first approached them to be our wedding venue, all the way through the build up, the wedding day itself and on departure, the following day after breakfast - they were absolutely marvellous. From helping guests on the day and guiding my wife and I through the wedding, Leanne and her team were brilliant and we couldn't have asked for a better venue, a better team or a better day. "The perfect wedding location- it was stunning. The ceremony was held outside in the grounds by the river, followed by the wedding breakfast in the beautiful marquee. As the sun shone hotter, one side of the marquee was completely opened by staff to give a lovely breeze and beautiful backdrop. We moved into the main house for the evening reception. Staff were attentive yet discreet and all I can say is that it was absolutely perfect in every way. We stayed overnight in a large room with a huge bed. A couple of stairs led down to the separate toilet and enormous bathroom, with a big, Art Deco style bath. Homemade biscuits and a large bottle of water were a lovely touch in the room. A big thank you to all of the staff, but especially to our son and new daughter-in-law's wedding planner, so friendly, kind, understanding and helpful yet so professional in every respect. We had our wedding at Prested Hall, and stayed overnight both the night before and the night after. We were very pleased indeed that we chose it as our wedding venue! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and our events manager, Kathryn, made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the whole event, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. She made sure that we were on track while planning everything, and helped us to make the most of the venue for our event. From the time we arrived until the time we left, almost two full days later, Kathryn made sure everything was sorted out, and all of the staff made us feel very welcome. The food was very good, and the building itself is lovely. We and our guests had a fantastic time, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Prested Hall to anyone looking for a wedding venue, or for a place for a lovely hotel break.

My new husband and I got married at Prested Hall 2nd December and words cannot describe just how wonderful this venue is. Our day was flawless and this was entirely down to the fantastic staff and most especially our excellent wedding planner Kathryn. The whole planning process was completely free of stress thanks to the guidance and hard work of Kathryn. We really cannot praise her high enough. The venue has an intimate / warm vibe to it and we felt instantly relaxed whenever we visited. This was enhanced by the fact every single staff member encountered was extremely helpful and friendly, nothing ever too much trouble. Prested Hall was exclusively ours for 24 hours as part of the wedding package and how this place only has 3 stars beggars belief. Our guests were universally delighted with their rooms which were all immaculate and combined character with modern convenience. My Mum has mobility problems and stayed in the ground floor bedroom which is set out so that it is accessible to all. She could not stop raving about how wonderful the room was, especially the bathroom which was huge with a walk in shower. There is a choice of 2 bridal suites, the “Dingle” which is a little cottage away from the main building or room 1 within the main hotel. We picked the latter because it was beautifully characterful with wooden beams, a huge bed and bath with stunning views of the lake. The food served was plentiful and sumptuous, we had many compliments from guests commenting that it was the best food they’d eaten at any wedding. High praise indeed! Staff as ever were attentive throughout the meal and drinks were flowing. The venue itself is set amongst picturesque Essex countryside which as nature enthusiasts we really loved. However it also benefits from excellent transport links and is easily accessible by road and public transportation. We are already planning a return trip to this lovely hotel next year and apparently several of our friends want to join us too as they were highly impressed with the place. My new husband I got married at Prested Hall on Sunday 20th August, clichèd as it may sound but it was simply the greatest day of my life. That is thanks to Melissa our events manager and all the hardworking members of staff at Prested. It was only by chance we found Prested. After being unable to find the perfect venue, we saw photographs of an old friend's wedding on Facebook and thought we would go have a look. From initial contact to the morning after the wedding they were fantastic. We were blown away by spectacular views from when you drive in all the way through to the inside. We decided on the garden party package with evening bbq as I always loved the idea of an afternoon tea/ summer party theme. There are no words to describe how amazing the food was, seriously the best I have ever had, there was so much. I cannot thank Melissa enough, she genuinely made us feel like we were the only people who had ever got married at Prested, always there to answer my silly little questions and genuinely making it a less stressful experience than it could have been. I am truly thankful to the military precision of the day, not a single hiccup! If there was a word better than perfect then this would be it. They were so accommodating for all of my little quirks! I cannot thank you enough for making our day so perfect! Melissa, you are beyond anything I could ever have dreamed of and I will forever be thankful for making our wedding absolutely perfect. Thank you once again Prested, anyone looking for the perfect venue, this is it!

Just wow. 18 months of planning for the best day of my life. Married just 2 days ago and cannot fault a single second. My event co-ordinator was amazing and looked after us from start to finish. I was close to tears when she clocked off in the evening as I wanted her to stay and party with us. The staff were amazing, the food was gorgeous and I cannot rate this place high enough. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and we've had many a "best wedding ever" comment. Thank you so much xxxx
