Pynes House

We had our autumn 2019 wedding at Pynes House, and it was incredible. The venue is like no other local building, managing to be both beautiful and unique while also practical for hosting a wedding of around 90 people! The rooms have been stunningly restored, and even though it was grey and rainy on our wedding day, inside was still light and airy. And the lighting of the fires in the evening made it feel very cosy. The grounds are also beautiful, with the highlight being the sweeping drive, fountain and rose garden. The caterers, Pickle Shack, are second to none. The whole process, from looking round the venue, to visiting with our photographer and getting the rooms ready, was easy and organised. We highly recommend!

We had our wedding back here in September 2019 and it's safe to say it was all we could ever had wanted and more! The venue itself is simply stunning. I think what we most loved about it is how grand it looks whilst having such a calm atmosphere inside. All the bedrooms are incredibly spacious and the decor is very elegant. The bridal suite in particular is breathtaking. On the day itself the wedding co-ordinator they arranged (Jo) helped us out tremendously. Getting us where we needed to be whilst allowing us to mingle with friends and family as much as possible. The hosts themselves (Heather, Kate, Geoff and Jon) are an absolute delight to work with and were incredibly accommodating with pretty much all our requests. And they're very handy when it comes to suppliers and local hotels, pubs etc. I would thoroughly recommend Pynes House as a wedding venue to anyone! It was the best time of our lives!! What a magnificent venue Pynes House is, the images do not do it justice. What you don’t see from the images is how warm, helpful and kind everyone is who is associated with Pynes House. We got married here in August 2019 and Kate, Heather, Geoff and Jon were fantastic. Jo who is the resident wedding coordinator was phenomenal, if we ever had another event like this she would be first on our list as a guest! The rooms are large, airy and beautifully appointed. Each room is unique, every guest thought they got the “best room”. The grounds and gardens are tasteful and a lovely place to spend and amount of time. We cannot recommend this place enough

What an excellent wedding venue! We couldn't recommend it highly enough. They were so helpful with everything from planning to making sure everything ran perfectly on the day. Pynes house provided a wedding coordinator who was fantastic! You could tell she knew exactly what she was doing and everything was managed perfectly. Even down to having our little dog run down the aisle before the bride arrived! Many of the guests commented on how spectacular the venue is, and we couldn't agree more. It was like a fairy tale to be able to stay and get married in such a magnificent place, and to have all of our friends and family around us too. The accomodation is beautiful, from the bedrooms to the guest kitchen, Pynes felt like it was ours for the weekend and it was wonderful to have so many of the wedding party staying in the same place as us for the weekend of the wedding. Fantastic wedding venue, we couldn't have been happier.

Pynes House was the most beautiful and breathtaking venue for our wedding in July 2019! From the sweeping staircase to the gorgeous gardens to the incredible interior - Pynes House was the wedding venue of our dreams. It is hard to put into words just how beautiful the venue is but it is truly breathtaking. Our guests absolutely loved the venue! We couldn’t quite believe how close it was to Exeter because when you are at the venue it feels like you are in a completely private space in the middle of the countryside - there are even sheep that live in the fields along the tree-lined driveway! Heather, Kate, Geoff and Jon were absolutely incredible and helped us at every step answering any questions we had. They provided brilliant recommendations for suppliers and helped with getting things organised for the day itself too! Another fantastic thing about Pynes House is Jo who is the wedding co-ordinatior for Pynes House! Jo helped calm my husband-to-be’s nerves and ensured that the day was completely seemless. Before the wedding we worried so much about how it would all come together on the day because it felt like there was so much to get organised and I couldn’t quite work out how we wouldn’t need to be involved in some way! Jo was just wonderful and organised everything perfectly. Pynes House was the perfect setting for our wedding and made the day so incredibly special and memorable. We cannot recommend Pynes House or Jo highly enough!

Pynes House is just incredible. We got married here on 29th June 2019 and everything was perfect. Heather and the family were so welcoming and really made us feel at home for the weekend. They were so flexible and always came back to us promptly even though they are so busy. All our guests were SO impressed at how stunning it is, as were we! It was further away then we had originally wanted our wedding but once we saw it there was nowhere else we needed to see. The rooms are all immaculate and everywhere is so bright and airy. A truly magical place, full of love and happiness. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for helping us make our day perfect!
