Rowallan Castle Golf and Country Club

So...it has taken this long to write our review from our wedding in June 2016 as we really found it difficult to put into words just how outstanding the service we received for our wedding at Rowallan from Liz, George and their team was. From the booking our every needs were catered for. Rowallan castle in itself is quite magical, full of fabulous decor, amazing features and the wow factor we had been looking for (after looking at 10 venues all over Scotland). It ticked the box of feeling you are in the middle of nowhere but conveniently located close to Glasgow. Our food and wine tasting prior to our big day with George was spot on and he was happy to make tweaks here and there to the dishes we had chosen and the run up to the wedding organisation from Liz was faultless. We also asked for so many additional requests to make our day unique which again Liz was happy to allow and organise. On the day it ran so smoothly. Liz ran the day like a drill sergeant (in a very very good way) so the day ran like clockwork and all our guests were made to feel special. We had so many compliments from our guests on the food and so many commented that the food was the best they had at any wedding they had been to and we wholeheartedly have to agree. For those staying they were totally blown away by their rooms and the baths are just out of this world! We were so happy we found this absolute gem tucked away in Ayrshire on a random google search and we found an absolute gem in Liz who is a real asset to Rowallan castle. No one can argue that Rowallan is 5 star but in our eyes it far exceeded this and on our wedding day it was without a doubt 6 star �. Thank you again, Lisa & Michael x

We were married just before Christmas and it was the most perfect venue! We had looked at around 15 other castles and when we found Rowallan it had everything we needed. The grounds are wonderful and inside had so much room for a ceilidh and areas for people to catch up after the ceremony. Everyone's photos looked great. And Liz was brilliant! The whole day ran so smoothly and stress-free thanks to Liz. We would definitely recommend it and would pick it again in a heartbeat.

We got married at Rowallan & loved it! The team there are professional & friendly. They helped us feel at ease with planning our wedding. The venue is stunningly beautiful, the food was delicious and everything on the day was so well organised. It felt personal & special. We can't thank Liz, George & all their team enough for everything they did to make our day amazing x
