We are a friendly and romantic hidden gem that can host civil ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and evening receptions all in one exclusive venue. We are licensed for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies for up to 120 guests. We offer post ceremony drinks and photographs in the stunning gardens with the amazing backdrop of the Medieval Coach House. Your wedding continues with a breakfast or high tea in the Grand Library or on the lawn. In the evening your guests up to 150 can retreat to the Coach House for an evening of laughter and fun on the dance floor, in the sofa lounge and vintage bar. We are full licensed and offer a cash bar service for guests in the evening. The Bride’s room is an intimate private room with dressing table and sofas for the stars of the day to relax and prepare yourselves for the day or evening. We do all we can to look after you before and during your wedding day. Many previous clients have particularly thanked us for offering help, guidance and generally reducing any stress. Nothing pleases us more than to be a small part of a beautiful day. Should you choose to hold your wedding with us at Rownhams House you can be assured that we only host one occasion a weekend. And unlike many venues, Rownhams House has always been a home. The existing house was built as a result of a shocking love story set in the mysterious Near East. And over the centuries it has seen its fair share of passion and intrigue. If you choose to celebrate your special occasion at Rownhams House you will be adding to this story. The house is owned and loved by a family who are there at a discreet distance should you need them. Since every wedding is different we do have a selection of choices and prices. We can also cope very well with ‘short notice’ weddings, provided it does not impinge upon another event.
