Smokies Park Hotel

We had the most perfect wedding. On 20th September 2019 we got wed, and I know its a daunting/nervous/exciting time, I was made completely at ease by the wedding team at smokies. Sophie Rothwell is an absolute gem! from being there the night before to organise our family meal to texting me in the run up to check everything was ok - no hounding us for money or making us feel pressured into extras to calming my nerves before I walked down the aisle. Nothing was too much trouble. Sophie ensured I was in the loop on everything, including when my husband had arrived, showing me photos of how the room looked so I didn't have to go downstairs in my dressing gown, making sure I was happy where everything was. She had organsied all our favours and other wedding bits into a meeting room the night before that was locked. About an hour before I got married I started to get really nervous, she come upstairs to check on me, held my hand and calmed me down, she took the rings and the men's corsages down and spoke with David. honestly she took care of everything, she was one step ahead all the time. The wedding venue itself was perfectly decorated, all my guests commented on it. The meal was served on time and rapid, and it was gorgeous to say the least. not one late of food wrong, or returned and I had 89 guests in the day! when it got changed round for the evening, there was no panic, no stress, nothing. all I can say is if you are thinking of booking Smokies - then do it. The venue the food the staff are amazing, but Sophie is something else, she deserves a gold medal for what she does, she is a true diamond to the Best Western group.
