The Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club

We had an amazing day, we couldn't fault anything. The venue is lovely, lots of beautiful places for photos, great staff, absolutely delicious food and plenty of it! Our wedding coordinator Claire was fantastic, we wanted to change and customise a few things but nothing was too much trouble and everything was exactly as we wanted. To top off a perfect day the hotel was beautiful. We felt like we were on holiday!

We chose The Nottinghamshire for two reasons the first being the beautiful grounds and wonderful venue. We were looking for a venue where we knew all our guests young and old would be able to enjoy our day with us and we loved the family friendly layout. The second reason was Claire, right from the first viewing to the actual wedding day and all the meetings in between Claire was warm, friendly, organised and accommodating. Planning a wedding is magical and the helpful hints and advice Claire gave made sure our day went without a hitch. The food was enjoyed by all and our guests were blown away with meal and have commented they have never enjoyed food at a wedding like it before. The evening prior to the wedding my parents, maid of honour and I also enjoyed a meal in the restaurant and again the food and service was fab. We enjoyed a night in the interconnecting rooms and this made the morning of the wedding a memorable event as we had plenty of space, lots of giggles and a few glasses of fizz! As lovely as the rooms are nothing can compare to the bridal suite it is simply amazing the bed, the bath, the shower nothing can compare. Many of my close friends are planning weddings at other venues and the issues they are experiencing is disappointing - I can hand on heart say we didn't have any concerns or niggles we have simply been left with amazing memories we can treasure forever. Thanks again Claire, we really do mean every word, you and the team do an amazing job.

I've been to the Nottinghamshire as both a guest and a wedding cake maker, so I feel I can give a rounded opinion about this venue. You really feel that you have 'Arrived' as you make your way through their stunning grounds, and the function room doesn't disappoint either. Food and service is perfect, and they always offer a warm welcome when I take a cake there.

We had been to about a few other places before The Nottinghamshire, whom offered very little for the cost of the venues. We went & sat down with Claire who filled us with excitement not only for how beautiful the venue is but also from how much they will do for you on the day. From ordering in specific vintage kitchenware to setting up all our props for our Alice in Wonderland theme, whereas previously we had been told this kind of thing we would have to sort ourselves. This really does take off a load of pressure & the ability to relax that little more on the day knowing Claire & the team have it all under control. The whole day ran so smoothly & other than just being happy in the moment there was nothing to even worry about. The food is fantastic, everyone kept telling me every time they seen me on the day & still now, that how much of an amazing day it is/was and how great the place was. Everyone enjoyed themselves, not just me & my wife, this is down to everyone at the venue! Claire works so hard on getting this day perfect & I cannot thank her & the team enough, its okay for everyone there having a great time but she's there from the early doors till late making sure everything is covered! She really was/is fantastic!! We travelled the short distance from Coventry to The Nottinghamshire & it was the best decision we ever made & would recommend anyone from any distance that you would not regret The Nottinghamshire as your chosen destination!
