The one good thing that has come out of this awful situation is the show of love and support through communities and each other. As always, love will prevail. Weddings are a celebration of love, and we at The Woodman Inn are lucky enough to witness and share these special days with our couples. We thank our Bride and Grooms, our suppliers & our team for supporting us through these turbulent times. The Woodman Inn is temporarily closed, but one thing is for sure; we will re-open, and when we do, we are going to party, celebrate & love, more so than we have ever done before. Stay safe out there. We also offer Weddings in our new part of the venue - Thunderbridge Gardens, where we have a gorgeous glass marquee set in woodland with an adjoining Orangery reception area. This is set in its own private part of the venue and feels very much an exclusive, peaceful & romantic area. The stunningly beautiful gardens flanked by a lovely stream and woodland really does create a gorgeous setting for a wedding. The tranquil hamlet of Thunderbridge is rich in history, plentiful with wildlife, and such a peaceful woodland location that you might just be joined on your special day by the local deer, a fox or badger. Known by the locals as “God’s own county,” you and your guests will enjoy complete privacy in this rustic haven of unspoilt Yorkshire countryside. This idyllic location truly is the perfect setting for the most romantic of weddings.
