Woodside Hotel

Well 29th September is a day that myself and my beautiful wife will never forget. I won't bore you with the details but after various issues with others we called Woodside to enquire about the possibility of them hosting our wedding. We had our first meeting and we were absolutely sold on the place. Perfect grounds, perfect package. Our original meeting was with the wonderful Vicky, how refreshing and delightful! Then we were introduced to Jerry and Jo. Again totally blown away by their commitment. Various meetings later we were placed in the kind and courteous hand of Jo the events coordinator. OMG nothing was too much trouble for her. She would arrange our meetings and was in constant communication, she dealt with our suppliers, she dealt with our demanding requirement to our exact requirement. Nothing was too much trouble. We ran this girl ragged changing our minds time and time again yet she simply told us to relax and she would take care of it. They guided us through the traditional ceremony and wedding breakfast and had it timed to perfection, we even started to run over with our timings but all Jo said was 'don't fret, just enjoy'. The choices of food we were given was second to none, our tasting session made us feel like royalty. The MC, DJ and staff were all superb! Thank you for all that you did but the biggest thanks goes to Jo - what an absolute hero! Without your input and coordination we would have been flapping from start to finish. I could go on for hours detailing just how perfect our day was, from the start of the day with me and my groom party to the following morning with me and my wife being totally overwhelmed Are you wondering if this is place for you... 100% it's a YES! You won't regret it.

My daughter had her wedding here on 01/09/19, what a stunning place , the hotel is beautiful and the staff are all really helpful, my daughter’s day went perfect 👌 loved every minute of it , thanks to all at Woodside for all their help and support, would highly recommend this hotel to my friends.

Our interaction with the staff from day one made us feel very welcome and they were always approachable, and nothing was too much. Vicky and Jo were first class - with their knowledge of the venue and their experience of weddings, we always felt in very safe hands. They are also always smiling, which always made us feel comfortable and at ease through the process, especially as we got closer to the big day. The food was 10/10 and exactly what we were hoping for. We have had nothing but glowing feedback from all of our guests.

Just to say we had a beautiful wedding at Woodside on Sunday. The weather was bad till a very brief dry slot just before barn dance. Everything else went like clockwork including the live link to USA & Botswana. A HUGE thank you again for all your help and preparation. The staff and Mark also did an amazing job. My son and his fiancée were married at Woodside on Saturday and I would highly recommend it as a wedding venue. From the early planning stages through to the actual day the staff have all been extremely helpful and willing to oblige with all the ideas that we had. 40 family and friends arrived the day before and settled in spending the afternoon with the kids in their lovely swimming pool and then getting together in the bar that evening to socialise before the big day, the chef provided food for us all and the young lady behind the bar was exceptional, keeping our glasses charged until the early hours for some! On the day we rose early to a hearty breakfast and then mucked in to dress the venue, again the staff were all exceedingly helpful & understanding allowing us to create the look we wanted. The Wedding breakfast for 87 was delicious and the service exceptional, the atmosphere was relaxed enabling the men to deliver their speeches without too much pressure. 140 of us partied on into the night with more good food delivered from the kitchens and the resident DJ delivered our requested tunes along with a few additional requests until the early hours. Our rooms were very good indeed and families and disabled were all catered for. I think Woodside is the ideal place for a wedding and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, it is also extremely good value, thanks Woodside for making our day so very memorable! Susan

Our wedding at Woodside was great, everybody had a wonderful day, and people loved the setting of the venue. One drawback was that we had 4 wedding coordinators in the time between booking the wedding, and it taking place, and then there wasn't a single person we had already dealt with there on the day. This didn't affect the general wedding though, it all ran smoothly. Overall, service was good, the food is amazing, the hotel as a whole is good, and it is a very good setting for a wedding, having everything all in one place.
