Wookey Hole Caves

Situated in the heart of Somerset on the outskirts of the famous City of Wells, Wookey Hole Caves is an idyllic setting for your wedding ceremony and reception. We have ample free parking and offer exclusive use of all our facilities, including our Theatre, Penny Arcade, Mirror Maze, Play Barns, Crazy Golf and you can even hire the Witch of Wookey! We are able to accommodate wedding parties up to 180 guests for the wedding breakfast and up to 100 guests for your evening function. Wookey Hole can provide a choice of three mysterious chambers; this is an unusual and magical venue for your civil ceremony wedding. Amongst the stalactites and stalagmites carved by the River Axe over millions of years you can stand within the Mendip Hills, surrounded by clear pools, dramatic ancient rock formations and soft candlelight and make your vows. Chamber 1 and 2 holds up to 70 guests and Chamber 3 will hold up to 100 guests, but the caves are also intimate enough to offer a ceremony for just a few people. We also have a Hotel onsite which boasts luxury accommodation in picturesque surroundings. We have 58 bedrooms all with en suite facilities. Each room includes a LCD TV with freeview and a built-in DVD player, as well as coffee and tea making facilities, hair dryer and heated towel rail. We can block-book rooms for you and your guests at a very competitive rate and there is a late bar you can use after the function room has closed. We offer early check-in for guests (limited) and complimentary champagne and cooked breakfast for the Bride and Groom. The Bride and Groom and their immediate families (limited) will also receive free tickets to enter the caves and attractions on a day of their choice.
