We were so unsure about booking a wedding videographer... something we didn't think was necessary, and would only watch once or twice. After watching countless videos filmed by Jason and falling in love with them, I contacted him 6 months before our wedding. Luck had it he was available, and I took this as a sign!
Leading up to the wedding Jason was extremely responsive to my emails, which I really appreciated. He gave me a call a week before the wedding to talk through the day and settle any last minute queries.
On the day Jason arrived at my Mum's house to shoot the bridal prep and was so friendly, making us all feel at east. His counterpart Glen attended to my husband. We all agreed after 10 minutes you barely noticed Jason/Glen were videoing us, something both my Husband and I were concerned about. We laughed and chatted with them as if they were guests.
Although I wasn't there, I understand Jason arrived at the church early, greeted himself and was very respectful to our priest who was a little reserved about filming the ceremony. I never saw him during the ceremony, but the shots he captured were perfect and so intimate.
Doing the more formal shoots around the grounds and in the house at Stubton never felt like a chore or awkward, and although we both don't really like being centre of attention; we actually enjoyed it! Jason worked as a team with our wonderful photographer, Darren Cresswell, which we thought was great. I would absolutely recommend getting the extra package which includes the drone, especially if your wedding is at a place like Stubton because it captures the whole atmosphere of your day - something you can never look back on without this feature.
When we received the preview film we watched it about 20 times over... it was so much more than we expected. The music Jason chose complimented it beautifully and it was so professionally edited. A number of our friends and family got emotional watching it, including ourselves. We couldn't believe this was only the preview...
When we received the final film it came in a beautifully presented box, which we have on display in our living room. It was honestly magical to watch.... your wedding day goes so fast and there are so many elements you miss or forget (your partners preparation, guest reactions and emotions, set up of your venue before the guests enter, details of the speeches, silly dance moves... need I go on!). The film brought all of that back to life, rekindling so many emotions and we were so proud to share it with friends and family, who equally loved it.
I am so, so, so happy we decided to go ahead with Jason as our videographer. It was one of the best decisions we made and words cannot thank him enough. We've watched our wedding video over and over, and will continue to do so with our future family which we can't wait for.
